Our company Calm Scholar LLC ("us", "we", or "our") operates calmscholar.com (the "Site"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Site.

We will also sometimes record audio/video communications and events which we host via Zoom or other telecommunication software. We will state when we take these recordings. We refer to this type of information as “A/V Telecom Interactions.”

1. When you contact us, purchase a good or service, or sign up to receive further information through a form or field hosted on our Site, which uses tools provided to us by Wix.com, to collect your Identifiable Information.

2. As you visit, spend time on, and click through our website and emails we will collect Log Data from you. This is done through the use of cookies, which are elaborated upon below, and other tools provided by technological service providers such as Wix.com, Google, and Mailchimp.

3. When you participate in online video events, we will sometimes record the A/V Telecom Interactions via Zoom or Google Meet. You will always be notified when this is occurring.

4. We use internet cookies to collect information about our users browsing actions. Read the “Cookies” section below for more information about what cookies are and how we use them.

 

Why Do We Collect Your Information

We collect your personal information for the purposes listed below:

1. To provide and operate our products and services, specifically contracting and supporting the delivery of meditation coaching services

2. To communicate with our users and clients with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages

3. To best understand who is using our website and how they are interacting with it in order to market to our audience most effectively and to provide and improve our respective services and products

4. To generate content for our users

Storage and Maintenance of User Data

We collect, manage, and store our data on platforms such as Mailchimp.com, Google.com, Wix.com, Typeform.com, and Unbounce.com. Please review each of these company’s privacy policies to better understand the measures they take to ensure your data’s safety.

Sharing of User Data

As a general policy, we use personal information and message data for internal purposes only. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties. We do, however, contract work out to independent contractors, coaches, who deliver coaching services. Our policy surrounding the way personal information exchanged between clients and coaches is treated by Calm Scholar LLC Members and Coaching Partners is outlined in the section of this document titled "Handling Coaching Related Personal Information." Calm Scholar LLC will not disclose personal information or message data to third parties without your consent, except as explained in this Privacy Policy.

The Company cooperates with government and law enforcement officials to enforce and comply with the law. Handling Coaching Related Personal Information

Clients will share personal information with Calm Scholar LLC and coaches that Calm Scholar LLC contracts coaching services with ("Coaches"). When coaches agree to complete services contracted to them by Calm Scholar, they agree to the following terms:

• Personal information shared by clients is to be kept confidential, unless the coach is concerned for the client or other’s physical safety, in which case they will notify Calm Scholar (if the situation isn’t urgent) or proper authorities (if the situation requires immediate attention)

• Coaches and Members of Calm Scholar LLC may share information about situations that arise with their clients publicly in manners which an individual would not be able to reasonably identify the client at hand

• Information shared by clients to coaches may be shared with other coaches in the Calm Scholar Network, as well as members of Calm Scholar LLC, in an identifying manner when done so to increase the value and quality of coaching delivered to clients or to handle emergency situations.

Security

Our company takes the necessary measures to protect the security of your data, although it is impossible for us or any company to completely guarantee that your data will be immune from malicious attack or compromise. The transmission of any user’s data is always at their own risk.

 

Changes to the Privacy Policy

From time to time we will update this Privacy Policy and urge all of our users to periodically check this Policy for updates.

 

Updating User Information

At any time, you may request that we delete any information that you have provided or that we have obtained from you by emailing connect@calmscholar.com. We however can only delete the information stored in our database, and you must personally reach out to the third parties that we share information with as outlined above, such as Google Analytics or service providers in our network, to have your information deleted from theirs.
